Group Size: 20 maximum
Session Leaders: Michael Gallagher and Graeme Knight
Prerequisites: An interest in the universe, a sense of wonder.
Participants will use telescopes provided by BDAS Members during several course sessions
Over several course sessions, participants will use standard digital cameras, provided, to photograph the night sky and freeware image processing software to enhance and annotate their images.
Participants will have access to Eaglehawk Secondary College’s computers during course sessions, and will receive tuition in their use.
During part of each session, participants will work in small groups on course projects and will present their completed projects to the whole group towards the end of the course.
Supper will be provided each session.
At the end of the course, attendees will receive a CD-ROM of resources used in the course and a BDAS Astronomy Course Participation Certificate.
