Our Place in The Universe

In a Froth of Galaxies
On the Outskirts of a Supercluster
In the Local Group

On the Inner Edge of the Local Arm
On the third Planet out from the Sun

We live in a universe of at least 50 billion galaxies distributed in a bubble like froth. The galaxies are located in the walls of the bubbles. Vast voids of apparent emptiness occupy the space within them. Further information about the large scale structure of the universe:
